Projects we have carried out at Green Space Academy
Youth Climate Accelerator is a six-month program that seeks to inspire, prepare, and mobilize the next generation of African climate leaders who provide sustainable solutions to the climate problems facing Africa and our planet through holistic training and mentorship. The Youth Climate accelerator empowers and expands the role of African youths in climate action
Youths in grassroots communities across Sub-Saharan Africa are among the most vulnerable to climate change, bearing the brunt of the crisis. Despite this, over 70% of youths in these communities are unaware of the dangers posed by climate change, and they are regularly underrepresented and excluded from global dialogue
Many young people are completely disconnected from nature and unaware of where their food is grown. Green Space Academy provides students with the opportunity to learn how to grow food in ways that fight climate change and regenerate our earth.

Young girls like myself living in rural continue to suffer from the impacts of climate change. Severe weather and flooding continues to disrupt our education with many young people losing several schools hours annually. Our future is determined by our actions, which is why we are the ultimate solution provider to the climate crisis.”

There is urgent need for financial inclusivity and funding of youth-led climate solutions. The climate crisis is becoming more terrifying, with disastrous consequences for us young people. We need a sit on the table to help restore and preserve the beauty of our planet. We have solutions and understand how to deal with the crisis. But, we lack the necessary support and finances to bring our ideas to life
